Roses > Species > Rosa moyesii

Purchased from Hortico. Planted in Fall of 2003. The species varies between pink and red flowers when grown from seed. The blooms are fleeting, lasting barely a day or two it seems, but it sets interesting hips that last a long time on the plant. This is one of the roses that grew very well during a two year period of neglect between 2007-2009. During this time, the roses in the garden received no pruning, fertilizing, weeding, or supplemental watering. This rose showed no cane dieback or other evidence of disease.

Resistant to blackspot
